Of all the posts we’ve written, this has to be one of the hardest one to write. After nearly 15 years in business Xenophya Design will by the end of the year cease trading.

Although the company is profitable, 2014 was financially our best year ever, and could continue to grow and reach new heights, a new opportunity has presented itself. We have been asked to join Royal Enfield’s exciting new UK based technical centre as full time employees of the company; an opportunity simply too good to refuse. This decision was not an easy one and it took a lot of consideration.

Deciding to pull the plug and move on has been one of the hardest decisions we’ve ever had to make. This little company of ours, which we began at the age of 21 fresh out of university, has brought us so much joy, sorrow, knowledge, stress, and success. We can hardly put it into words.

By the time we close the studio doors we will have lived more than a third of our life with this business. Besides our family and childhood friends, it has been the biggest constant in our lives.

Along the way we have had a fantastic journey. We have worked on numerous projects fulfilling multiple life goals and created something really very special. We have worked with and employed some amazingly talented, creative and great fun people. We have shared a unique camaraderie which we hope will continue in the years to come even though Xenophya shall not be here. Xenophya has always felt like a family, a gang. We have made fantastic friends and some amazing memories. We have had a huge amount of help and mentoring from so many kind and generous people. We have also learnt the simple ability to just keep going. We have at times learned about business the hard way, with bad debt and blind postmen and had to make sacrifices. We’ve asked a huge amount from our families and most of all from our amazing wives Jenny and Amy who have supported us unswervingly along the way. We have also been privileged to able to help a few people on the way setting off on their own careers.

If you have been a customer or a supplier we want to take the opportunity to thank you for your past business and tell you how much we have enjoyed working with you all.

In closing, we cannot thank you enough for joining us on this journey. So many of you have been customers or suppliers or simply cheered us on, and helped me make the company better each day. We are deeply grateful and indebted for your support.

Thank you all so much, and here’s to the next exciting chapter.
